LIFE 4L Trophy Sponsorship Announcement is delighted to announce our support and proud sponsorship of two French female students who will be participating in the up and coming 22nd edition of the 4L Trophy event in February 2019.

Organised by the company Desertours, the Raid 4L Trophy™ is the largest student car rally in Europe that brings together more than 1,300 crews and 2,600 participants for an incredible adventure travelling from Biarritz, France to Marrakech, Morocco. With road atlas and compass in hand, students join each stage of the day and overcome the many obstacles of the desert. Each year student teams rush to enrol, from over 1460 different Schools in France and across Europe, all to take part in an incredible rally driving experience in a classic French made, Renault 4L. This event involves many challenges encompassing discovery, adventure and exploration embracing new friends and cultures while travelling across formidable terrain. Importantly, The Raid 4L Trophy™ is a solidarity event: which works for the future schooling of children in North Africa.

Every year students that enter, support the delivery of medical, school and sports equipment to over 20,000 children in the Province of Errachidia in Morocco who benefit from the support given. Additionally, their financial donations help make education accessible to many children in the region. In 2018, their generosity enabled the creation and construction of two classrooms for children with disabilities in the town of Rissani, Morocco.

The all-female crew in the up and coming 2019 event whom LIFE are supporting, consists of; Justine (Pilot) from Paris and Ségolène (Co-Pilot) from Strasbourg. They will be heading to the Moroccan desert to deliver School equipment, toys and medical supplies including a wheelchair to some of the poorest children in the desert. At the start of the race, they will also deposit 10 kilos of food to the charity, French Red Cross to distribute.

In the build-up to the event they will be preparing the car for the rally, decorating it with the LIFElabs sponsored branding, collecting equipment and raising money at events to support the associated charity, Children of the Desert (Enfants du Désert).
Before setting off from the village of Halle d’Iraty in Biarritz with a final destination of Marrakech. The journey will take place over 10 days and cover nearly 6,000 kilometres, travelling on the roads and tracks of France, Spain and Morocco. All of which will make the Raid 4L Trophy™ the biggest student rally in Europe. This is an epic human adventure involving solidarity, determination and passion for students aged between 18 and 28 years old.

The LIFE team will sponsor, support, follow and record Justine’s and Ségolène’s adventures from now onwards and right through to end of the rally, sharing the highs and lows as they endeavour to reach the finish line.

You too can support them in this humanitarian and sporting adventure that takes place between 21st February and March 3rd 2019.

The Children of the Desert charity was created in 2005. It was born after a trip to Morocco that encouraged the founders, Laetitia and Emmanuel Chevallier to commit to a cause that gave access to an education for children living in Morocco. Aware of the correlations between health, living conditions and access to Schools, the charity has since expanded its fields of action and support with a global approach and now also fights to improve the daily lives of children in Argentina.
