LIFElabs’ Hires Exciting New Leadership Talent

Sameer Ismail joins the LIFE team as Chief Compliance Officer.

The LIFE team are absolutely thrilled to announce Sameer Ismail joins us as Chief Compliance Officer. With over a decade’s worth of experience in risk and compliance management in the industry fields of banking, merchant acquisitions, payments and blockchain-based systems, we are privileged to have someone of his calibre join the ever-burgeoning team.

He has led innovative and forward thinking teams building processes, procedures and systems in organisations including the likes of Lloyd’s Bank, RBS, WorldPay, Google Payments, Coinfloor and Coinify and has in-depth experience engaging and interacting with regulators and policymakers in the US, UK, Europe and across the Middle East.

As part of Sameer’s role he will be exploring ways in which can galvanise our presence in the United States of America, with a specific focus on understanding how the BitLicense in New York, US could catalyse our company’s footprint.

Sameer’s career includes an array of areas of specialisms including:

•  Building business appropriate transactional process and customer screening systems

•  Financial crime and regulatory compliance advisory support

•  Risk and compliance framework development, monitoring and remediation

•  Financial industry crime risk in cryptocurrency, blockchain and Bitcoin

•  Advising governments and international bodies on all things related to blockchain technology

Additionally, the LIFE team is also delighted to welcome another new member to our growing ranks.

Dan Stangaciu joins us as we accelerate our technology and product development roadmap plans. Dan is a blockchain developer and software engineer. His initial focus will be to explore the capabilities of a LIFE enabled ‘stablecoin’ platform aligned with our long-term partnership strategy goals.
