Any existing LIFE fans will remember our huge sponsorship of the Sky Sports British Masters in October 2018. This was an event that well and truly put us on the map for the general public, with our brand sitting beside the likes of behemoth brands including Canon and Ladbrokes, interviews with huge publishers and hours of our branding were televised live across the world.
The absolute highlight of the event was when Eddie Pepperell aced a hole-in-one on the 2nd day of the event. Not only was that a huge moment for golf, but it was also monumental for LIFE. The hole-in-one he sank was on the LIFE charity sponsored hole, where if any of the Pro’s aced the hole they would receive £10,000 converted from our digital currency, LIFEtoken, as well as have us donate £5,000 to each of the partner charities. Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens (another event sponsor) and The European Tour Foundation.
Pepperell made his win even more memorable and incredible by later announcing on Twitter that he will be donating his winnings to a cause close to his heart, Helen and Douglas House, a charity that cares for terminally ill babies, children and young people. The LIFE team couldn’t be happier with the outcome of this event and with the difference that was made to so many people’s lives by the additional example of generosity from the talented Eddie.
